Evil grows stronger in this world today
No place to hide and I can’t run away
Not a single mere mortal can make it stop
Pleadings in prayer to heaven go up
There is only one man who can save us all
I know He can hear us whenever we call
He is the Way, the Truth and the Life
And He will be there to end all of our strife
Don’t doubt for one minute that He doesn’t care
If you believe in God He will answer all of your prayers.
Sometimes I wonder if God can hear us pray
I try to have faith that He’ll answer one day
Oh God can’t you feel the pain in my heart?
Always promise me that You’ll never depart
Only You understand the content of my cries
I try to have patience as I await your reply
Deep down in my heart I know
That You Oh God love me so
He sent His down to cleanse us of sin
Open your heart and let Him come in
He’ll give you courage in place of your fears
Just put your trust in God and He will dry up all of your tears.
